Jens Rasmussen

Biography:

Though voted most likely to become a monk by his 8th grade class in Oshkosh, WI - Jens has created over 100 roles on stage and in film across the US. He’s performed for the United Nations, as well as with Off-Broadway companies such as EPIC, Pan Asian Rep, The Internationalists, Manhattan Theatre Source, Vital Theatre, and others.

Regionally Jens has worked with companies from Milwaukee Rep to the Virginia Shakespeare Festival and dozens in between. He’s been a resident guest artist with Mill Mountain Theatre, the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, and most recently five seasons with The Springer Opera House - The State Theatre of Georgia, where he founded NO SHAME COLUMBUS a vibrant new works program that draws 150-200 patrons per week.

Current he’s filming the title role in Stephen King’s Survivor Type. Based on the short story of the same name, which Mr. King said, “goes a little too far, even for me.”

When his schedule allows Jens is fortunate to be a guest instructor at Jack Mountain Bushcraft, where he teaches traditional skills, wilderness living & survival. (Survival bio here.)
